This is a Pattern only, not an actual completed Cowl Scarf. Cowl Scarfs are a stylish way to keep warm and add a little bit of pizzaz to your winter wear. This scarf is convertible and can be worn in a multitude of ways. This pattern will walk you through the steps to create a Cowl Scarf out of medium weight yarn with a buttons using simple crochet stitches. The difficulty is at the Easy level, some knowledge and experience of crochet will be necessary. Techniques used include; double crochet, single crochet, slip stitches, and chain stitches. You will need 10 ounces of soft medium weight yarn (preferably a yarn with a soft silky feel), 6 3/4" to 1 " buttons, a 5.0 mm crochet hook, and a yarn needle to complete this.
